Cairn/Càrn: A human made pile, a simple edifice acting as a point of contact and reference over great distances.
In our current era where the conditions for cultural exchange have gone bananas, this exhibition seeks to illuminate a broad response from a transnational perspective. As the selected pieces join the exhibition in phases, the focus is the uncertain emerging result of their interaction. Each installment during the course of this exhibition is aimed at evolving the aesthetic dialogue between the works. Through casting a wide net, Project Cairn proposes to repurpose our ancient drive to communicate visually through building.
